So it's 3 am and again I find myself watching Beverly Hills 90210. I just witnessed Brandon score a date with his editor, Susan. Ealier in the day, he had asked her to go to a dinner date at Dylan's girl's place (the girl the dies shortly after they get married-horrific moment in my 90210 memories, much like when Zach and Kelly broke up in Saved by the Bell)(I actually heard that her name is Toni, who was also the orginal noxema girl- wow how do I know all this, I feel like G-Bo with all this knowledge). Susan had to decline saying that if there was a chance they her and Brandon would go out, she would have to fire him. Instead of pushing to get the date, Brandon smoothly got her to admit that she was attracted to him after promising that he would go back to work if she did. Later on that day, Brandon went to her dorm and told her that she was quitting because he would rather go on a date with Susan than work at the school paper. She was a bit taken by it (maybe cuz she was in a bath robe) and eventually gave in. Not only did she agree on the date, she let him keep his job!!! Brandon is the f*ing man! He was prepared to give up his job for a date??? What a gamble that totally paid off. (wait a sec, this is the episode the Steve and Claire kiss for the first time!!!) He's the man. So it got me thinking about who's the better ladies man? Brandon Walsh or Zach Morris????
Zach was everyone's hero, even mine. He had Kelly, a cell phone, great hair, high tops with the jeans tucked in. He had his slew of women and eventually ended up with his dream girl. He knew all the tricks and pulled all the pranks that we as guys growing up always wanted to do.
Brandon on the other hand, live in 90210. His parents left him with a ballin' house. Had a super cool car. Sideburns. Style. The women....Kelly, Susan, Nikki, Emily, and Tracy are just a few of his girls. All of them..... where to die for. Heck during his younger days, he was king of the Peach Pit. He was the person that everyone went to for advice or he was there when no one else was. It was unfortunate the he didn't end up with his dream girl.
Even though Zach was the coolest cat growing up, I'd have to give the edge to Brandon. His way with the ladies is often immitated but never duplicated. What do you think? Is there any other tv character that could be compared to any of these orginals playas?
